Mission Statement
The Highlands Coalition is composed of people who live and work in the Highlands of Lynn, Massachusetts. The Highlands is bounded by Chestnut, Washington, Essex Streets and Western Avenue. The Coalition acts on behalf of the Highlands neighborhood in matters pertaining to city, state and national affairs, and in matters political, commercial, economic, and social in nature.
The Coalition acts for the benefit of and gives preference to the entire Highlands community in order to achieve progress and improve the quality of life. The Coalition recognizes contributions to the neighborhood and to the city of all its citizens. No preference will be given to a group or individual on the basis of race or ethnicity. The Coalition solicits and welcomes contributions from all to benefit the neighborhood as a whole.
