April 7, 2014 Meeting at Ford School at 7 PM, Calendar Information

Hello neighbors and friends:

Our special guest at Monday's meeting is HAWC, who will lead a discussion on domestic violence. As you know, four women have lost their lives in the Highlands alone in the last few years. Many more are assaulted but do not call for help or call the police. Undocumented women are afraid. What can be done? Come and find out.

We are preparing the gardens and will be seeding 2,500 plants in the next two weeks in our greenhouse.  Want to help or want a plot in at Cook St. Park?

What is happening at Lynn's only full-service community school? What is a community school, anyway?

How goes our effort to return voting to the neighborhood? We have some good news to report.

What are we planning at Cook St. Park? Last year we built a garden. The crop was good, people had a good time and....the gangs disappeared.

Help us plan the April 15th Equal Rights Forum and the May 5 Planting Fair.

To improve our lives, we must organize and fight for change. Recall what Frederick Douglass taught: Nothing is gained without a struggle.

Are you willing to help?

David
